Asda began in 1949 as Associated Dairies and Farm Stores and is based in Leeds. It runs supermarkets and petrol stations, and was owned by Walmart from 1999 to 2021.

## How to add your Asda card

### Is Kardpal the official Asda app?

No. Kardpal is an independent app that keeps your Asda card number and shows it at the till. For points balance, offers and rewards, use Asda's official channels.

### Can the Asda till scan my card from my phone?

Usually yes: Kardpal shows the same code as the card, large and on a white background. If the scanner struggles, turn the brightness up. The number is shown under the code too, so the cashier can type it.

### Do I need internet to use my Asda card?

No. Once saved, the card stays on your phone and opens offline.
